The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to ensure our stay was fantastic. From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly helpful and friendly, even though they didn't speak much English. They provided a complimentary shuttle service from the bus station, greeted us with a cup of tea and snacks, and took care of all the details during our stay. The attention to detail at this hotel is impressive. They took the time to show us where to put our shoes and how to wear the house slippers, which added a nice touch to the traditional Japanese experience. The rooms were cleaned promptly while we were at breakfast, and the staff made sure all our needs were met. The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring Kamikochi. It is very close to the national park, and there is a convenient shuttle bus stop right next to the hotel. This made it easy for us to get around and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
There was really nothing that we didn't like about this hotel. Everything was top-notch, and our stay was a truly memorable experience.

We loved how convenient this hotel was. It was located very close to Kamikochi National Park, which allowed us to go for a hike without having to travel too far. Additionally, the hotel shuttle service was extremely helpful; we were picked up from the nearest bus stop and taken to the hotel comfortably. The staff greeted us warmly and were very helpful. We got a fantastic vegetarian meal, and the staff tried their best to make us feel comfortable.
Don't have any issues at all.

the area had many shops and sights to explore, making it a great base for tourists. Our room had a breathtaking view of the mountains and the traditional Japanese breakfast was delicious. the staff were friendly and helpful, providing a free shuttle service to the Kamikuchi park. We also enjoyed the indoor and outdoor onsen facilities inside the hotel.
The lack of privacy in the public onsen made it difficult to truly relax and find solitude.

We were delighted by the free shuttle service from Matsumoto Station to the ryokan. The staff went above and beyond to create a special vegetarian dinner for me and my daughter. The traditional onsen was authentic and the outdoor baths were particularly enjoyable, even in the rain. Despite language barriers, the staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this ryokan for a memorable stay near Kamikochi.

Spending New Year's Eve at this mountain top hotel was unforgettable! The views were breathtaking, and we enjoyed soaking in the traditional onsen, both indoors and outdoors, after a day of hiking. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering a shuttle service that was convenient and free of charge. We also appreciated the delicious food that was served, including a vegetarian dinner made just for us. this was a great opportunity to disconnect and enjoy nature at its best.
The futon provided for sleeping was a bit too thin for our liking, and the pillow was slightly hard. we found that the shuttle service to Kamikochi and breakfast were a bit too early for our taste.

Interesting cultural experience, with authentic meals and onsen. the room was comfortable and the staff was friendly. One of the shuttle services was helpful for getting around. It is located near some hiking and exploration spots.
The shuttle service was not always available when it was needed. Some aspects of the hotel could have been cleaner.
